Precise, Permanent Laser Marking — For Metals, Plastics and Sensitive Materials
When dot peen marking isn't suitable — whether the material is too hard, too sensitive, or the application demands the finest possible mark — the Eco Laser delivers.
A fibre laser marking machine designed for industrial applications, the Eco Laser produces high-contrast, permanent marks on metals, plastics and sensitive materials with minimal heat effect and no physical contact with the surface.
Who This Machine Is For
The Eco Laser suits applications where surface integrity is critical and physical marking methods would cause damage or stress to the component.
Ideal for:
Aerospace components requiring marking without surface stress
Medical instruments requiring marks that survive repeated sterilisation
Hardened steel, carbide and tungsten tools where dot peen can't penetrate
Plastics and non-metallic materials requiring permanent identification
High-precision engineering components requiring fine, detailed marking
Stainless steel marking for food, medical and pharmaceutical applications
Production line integration replacing inkjet or label-based marking systems
What You Can Mark
Serial numbers and part numbers
QR codes and DataMatrix barcodes
Logos and fine graphics
Date and batch codes
Compliance and traceability information
Variable data from production databases
Real World Application — Alemlube, Sydney NSW
Alemlube is one of Australia's most respected suppliers of industrial lubrication systems — a 100% Australian owned company supplying lubrication equipment, automatic greasing systems and workshop solutions to automotive, mining, transport and industrial customers since 1970.
At their Sydney production facility, Alemlube manufacture grease-filled tubing assemblies for industrial lubrication systems. Each tube requires permanent identification marking for traceability and product identification.
Previously Alemlube relied on inkjet print heads to apply identification marks during production. While fast and cost effective, the marks weren't permanent — grease contamination, handling and environmental exposure caused ink to smear, fade and become unreadable over time. For a safety-critical component in an industrial lubrication system, illegible identification is not acceptable.
Instrumark integrated an Eco Laser directly into Alemlube's production line, replacing the inkjet print heads entirely. The laser marks each tube as it moves through the line — permanently etching identification information into the surface of the tubing with no contact, no ink and no consumables.
The result is a permanent, clean, high-contrast mark that survives grease, handling and the harshest industrial environments for the full service life of the component.
What Makes It Different
The Eco Laser uses a cold light source that produces fine marks with a narrow pulse width and minimal heat-affected zone — meaning the workpiece is never damaged by heat even on the most sensitive materials.
At 30W it delivers marking speeds up to 7000mm per second — fast enough for production environments while maintaining the precision required for fine detail marking.
